We just received this text message from one of the SPFPA Local 1955 Disneyland members demanding that SPFPA President David L. Hickey and Region 3 Vice President Ryan Kelly adhere to the 1,500 hundred Disneyland members demands to the voting process of their contract.
LOCAL 1955 IS PAYING ATTENTION
Serious concerns about changes to the contract voting process by international leadership.
Members were supposed to have time to read the contract, ask questions, and vote through a clear and accessible process. That included a full review window, multiple voting days, and in-person voting access.
Last time, ElectionBuddy was the main voting method and over 1,100 members voted. That matters.
For this upcoming vote, we want clarity.
We want transparency.
We want ElectionBuddy and in-person voting both available so every member has a fair chance to participate.
If you are a Local 1955 member, do your part.
Respectfully text or email SPFPA International leadership and ask for written clarity on the final voting timeline, whether ElectionBuddy will remain in place, whether in-person voting will be available, and how members will be given enough time to review the contract before any vote takes place.
Ryan Kelly
Vice President, Region 3

David L. Hickey
International President

Be firm. Be clear. We are here.

I am a Local 1955 member asking for clarity on the contract voting process. We were told members would have time to review the contract, five voting days, and in-person access. Last time ElectionBuddy helped produce over 1,100 votes.
We want ElectionBuddy and in-person voting available again so the process is fair, accessible, and transparent.
